So excited to share my story of solo traveling around Europe and start with my first stop is Amsterdam. So here are my Amsterdam solo traveling guide, where i go and what i do as a firstimer. I’m also on a mission to find out the Amsterdam vibe that attract tourists around the world because this is city is so live up and almost never sleep.

After done with arrival and taking a rest at Steigenberger hotel, i’m ready to explore Amsterdam. The easiest start is from Amsterdam central station using train from Schipol. To make it comfortable buy the 24 hours pass that allow you to use train and tram unlimited. From Amsterdam central cross the street to get to tourist information.

Riding the tram is the right way to enjoy Amsterdam vibe. You can stop anywhere, explore the area and go back to tram again. See many cute stores and i stop at Albert Heyn supermarket to buy some sandwich, fruits and go picnic anywhere near the canal. For your information, supermarket are difficult to find so you might want to buy things you need before you walk around.

The famous Iamsterdam letters located in front of Rijksmuseum and it’s full of tourists. It’s like battlefield to get nice picture without any photobomb. I got so lucky to find street artist perform there. They actually move out to several location everyday and i meet them again the other day around Madame Tussaud museum. There is also Iamsterdam letter at Schipol and it’s ussually didn’t pack with visitor.

Walking around the canal is also very nice, maybe biking or hop on some boats though i didn’t have time to do that.

I also visit Albert Cuyp Market, there are souvenirs, food, vintage book and flower stall in a very long road. Buy chicken barbeque with halal licence and my fave is the nuts and dry fruit shop.

You must stop at Dam Square, the beautiful square where people running around playing with pigeons or take selfie with human pantomim. You wouldn’t guess who i met, yes Darth Vader looking so gorgeus. If you want to go shopping, find H&M there. The street beside it has many cute fashion shops.
